Jeevanee 1L

Jeevanee 1L is an Oral Rehydration Salts (ORS) solution used to prevent and treat dehydration caused by diarrhoea, vomiting, excessive sweating, heat, or other conditions involving fluid and electrolyte loss. It contains a balanced combination of glucose and electrolytes that helps the body absorb and replace lost fluids and salts. Jeevanee is an established ORS product in Sri Lanka and is based on a WHO-approved formula.

Important Note

Jeevanee 1L should be used as directed on the product packaging. If preparing from an ORS sachet, dissolve the entire contents in 1 litre of clean drinking water and mix thoroughly. Do not add extra sugar or salt. Prepared ORS should be kept for no longer than 24 hours, after which a fresh solution should be prepared. Continue normal feeding and breastfeeding during rehydration. Seek medical attention if there are signs of severe dehydration or if the person is unable to drink.
